Why isn’t my traffic or conservation case eligible for Judici Plea & Pay?

Only certain types of cases are eligible for Judici Plea & Pay.

  • The only cases types that may use Judici E-Pay Plea and Pay are TR (Traffic)and CV (Conservation).
  • Your county must allow Judici Plea & Pay payments.
  • In addition, only violations that do not require appearance in court (may appear) cases are eligible. Read your ticket carefully to ensure that court appearance is NOT required.
  • If you received more than one ticket at the time of the offense, other than a seat belt citation, your cases are not eligible for Judici E-Pay Plea and Pay.
  • Your case must be open. Make sure there is no date in the “Initial Close Date” field on the Case Information page
  • Your case must not have a disposition or sentence other than “Failure to Appear
  • Any cash bond posted on the violation must not exceed the amount due to the court.

Payment is due by court date with or without court supervision.

Why isn’t my court case eligible for Judici EPay?

There are a number of reasons why your case may not be eligible for Judici E-Pay.

  • Your county must allow Judici E-Pay payments.
  • The case must be closed. Without a disposition and sentence on all charge(s), the case is not eligible.
  • The case must have an outstanding balance in accounts receivable.
  • The case must not have a prohibited payment type of electronic payment.

Payment is due by court date with or without court supervision.

Only payments for cases with a final disposition are eligible to be paid by Court Money.

Payments made through Court Money for cases without a disposition will be rejected and not credited to your account.

Traffic Information

Fine, Penalties, Assessments & Costs

The amount of payment where court appearances are not required is:
(a) $164 for any violation under the Illinois Vehicle Code (625 ILCS 5/1 et seq.) defined as a minor traffic offense pursuant to Supreme Court Rule 501 (f), except (b) below;
(b) $260 plus the minimum fine set by statute for truck overweight and permit violations under 3-401(d), 15-111, 15-113.1, 15-113.2 or 15-113.1, 15-113.2 or 15-113.3);
(c) $195 for any violation defined as a Conservation Offense under Supreme Court Rule 501(c) for which civil penalties are not required.

Note: Payments made at the Circuit Clerk’s Office must be by cash, money order, certified check, bank draft, or traveler’s check unless otherwise authorized by the clerk of the court. (DO NOT SEND CASH IN THE MAIL; use cash only if paying in person.)

Court Supervision

*For Speeding 1-20 MPH over the posted speed limit, the total cost is $282.50
*For Speeding 21-25 MPH over the posted speed limit, the total cost is $332.50
*For any other offense or if you are a CDL holder, please contact the State’s Attorney’s Office and ask to speak to the Traffic Assistant.

PLEASE NOTE THAT BOTH THE SUPERVISION APPLICATION AND PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIPTED IN THE CIRCUIT COURT CLERK’S OFFICE IN ORDER FOR YOUR APPLICATION TO BE PROCESSED.

Checks from banks outside of Montgomery County will be returned. Subsequent action taken due to returned checks are the responsibility of the party and not the Circuit Court Clerk or State’s Attorney.

Payment By Mail

Avoid Multiple Court Appearances
If you intend to plead NOT GUILTY TO THE TICKET:
1. Complete the portion of the ticket and mail in at least 10 work days before the date set for your court appearance noted on the bottom half of the ticket
2. Indicate what kind of trial you want – mark only one box, complete the address section and follow the mailing instructions.

If you intend to plead GUILTY to the ticket and No Court Appearance is Required:
1. Complete the GUILTY PLEA portion of the ticket
2. Mail the signed ticket and payment amount to the address on the ticket. Mail no earlier than 10 work days after the ticket was issued, and no later than 3 work days before the court appearance dated noted on the bottom half of the ticket in the “Court Place/Date” section or as may have provided by the clerk of the court.

If you are paying a No Appearance traffic ticket you must sign and send the original Plea of Guilty (blue copy of citation or Court Communication Copy) to the Circuit Clerk’s Office within 3 days after this transaction. We will accept the signed original Plea of Guilty through the mail.

Please allow 5-7 days for the mailed form to arrive in our office. Faxed forms will not be accepted. Your transaction will not be considered complete until the original form is received. Transactions must be completed 5 business days prior to your court date or you will be required to appear in court.
