The WIC (Women, Infants and Children) Program provides supplemental nutrition for pregnant, lactating, and postpartum women, as well as infants and children ages 1-5 yrs. old. This is accomplished by providing supplemental food and education on the importance of a balanced diet. Hopefully, this federally funded Nutrition Program can prevent many conditions, such as anemia, premature delivery and other problems associated with inadequate nutrition.

Pregnant women, infants and children up to five years old can apply for the program. (Income Guidelines) Program regulations require that everyone be evaluated according to medical, nutritional, and financial criteria to be eligible for the food supplements. (WIC is an equal opportunity program).

The WIC program is funded through the Illinois Department of Human Services. For more information on the program – Visit Website
